Spring 2007 Class of "Millionaires in Training" Graduates May 25, with Support from Community and Corporate Sponsors

RALEIGH, NC – The fifth semester of Millionaires in Training (MiT) students will celebrate with a graduation ceremony on Friday, May 25, 2007, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Hotel located at 421 S. Salisbury Street in downtown Raleigh. The event will take place in the Oak Forest B Ballroom. Tickets are $25.00.

Millionaires in Training is a youth entrepreneurial training and development program specifically targeted to adolescent boys and girls (12-15 yrs.) in traditionally under-served communities.  The MiT program was founded by Valerie Fields, CEO of V.K. Fields & Company public relations and copywriting firm, and founder of Miracle Ministries Inc. which operates the MiT program. Fields said, “I’m always thrilled to see the innovation and creativity of our young MiT students. And I’m excited to share the success of Millionaires in Training with our volunteers, community and corporate partners. We’re launching new chapters of MiT, expanding into new areas outside of the Triangle, and impacting more young peoples’ lives. It’s an honor to be a part of this exciting work.”

The MiT program consists of 15 to 20 weekly sessions that offer a different aspect of business and entrepreneurship to the future business owners. There is no cost for students to participate. Young participants analyze their strengths and create their own in-house company to produce, market and distribute a product or service. Upon successful completion and graduation from the MiT program, participants will receive Entrepreneurial Certification and an opportunity to intern or gain professional work experience during the summer at a local business organization. Open enrollment for the next MiT session will begin August 2007. The MiT program meets weekly on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Miracle Ministries office at 5 W.
